We are seeking a highly-motivated Sales and Marketing Developer for the mission driven Pee Dee Food Hub who is inspired to increase sales opportunities for local farmers. Responsibility include: sales development in several different channels; developing and sustaining relations with customers in a combined buyer / sales role for the purpose of increasing sales; managing availability and price lists in collaborations with producers; customer support, development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies; implementation of all needed social media and website; and manage a wide range of task and general duties as needed to assist with the success of the Pee Dee Food Hub.  Sales and Marketing Developer reports directly to the Food Hub Director and works collaboratively with other members of the food hub team.  

Education and Experience

 

The ideal candidate will have experience attracting a diverse group of buyers and customers from several marketing channels, negotiating appropriate price structures and coordinate the type, quantity and time of deliveries though pre-season crop planning coordinated by other staff members. She or he will have extensive sales experience, preferably with wholesale produce and excellent communication skill for representing the Food Hub through emails, phone, in-person meetings with prospective and existing customers.  In addition to effective communications and interpersonal skills, experience in website management and social media networking is highly desirable.

 

 

An undergraduate degree in marketing, business or related fields are preferred.  A minimum of five years’ experience in sales and / or marketing in preferred as well as experience working directly with producers / farmers and / or restaurants and grocery stores is highly desirable: or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Delivery Driver and Logistics Position

We are seeking a Delivery Driver and Logistics coordinator for the mission-driven Pee Dee Food Hub.  Responsivities include: Delivering produce within assigned rote schedule and time windows; carefully driving and operating a 26’ refrigerated truck; customer relations; logistical coordination; loading and unloading produce; inspecting and maintaining vehicles; aggregate and prep product for delivery; operate loading equipment; general maintenance and cleaning of faculties and equipment; maintain product safety and traceability; assist with a variety of activities to contribute to the success of the Pee Dee Food Hub. 

The Delivery Driver will make numerous stops averaging 150 miles a day.  This position reports directly to the PD Food Hub Director and works collaboratively with other PDF staff members

Minimum Requirements

Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.  A minimum of two years’ experience as a delivery driver is preferred, and experience working directly with producers / farmers and / or restaurants and grocery stores is highly desirable.  The ideal candidate must also possess effective communications and interpersonal skills.  CDL is preferred however not mandatory.
