General Statement of Duties

Under general supervision performs a variety of activities pertaining to the County Jail in accordance with established policies, regulations and procedures. Performs those prescribed tasks such as guarding and directing inmates, patrolling assigned areas, escorting, preparing reports, inspecting property, preventing disturbances, supervising trustees, maintaining facilities, etc. Reports to immediate supervisor.

 

Minimum Qualifications

High school education with successful completion of required training from the Criminal Justice Academy as required; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provided the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be available to work every Sunday during Prison Camp visitation hours and be on the on-call status Monday - Saturday.

Part Time Paramedic

Department: Emergency Medical Services

General Statement of Duties

Under limited supervision performs various activities necessary in administering first aid to and transporting sick/injured persons to medical facilities. Coordinating with other response agencies, exercises responsibility for patients at scene and during transport. Performs operational duties as maintaining machinery and equipment, completing various forms and documents, general cleaning task, etc. Reports to Director of Emergency Services.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum training and experience includes high school diploma, applicants must have a valid SC Paramedic certification or qualify for recipocity, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, provide certifications and be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Must have a valid S.C. driver’s license, have no criminal record, be at least twenty-one years of age and submit to pre-employment.

E911 Dispatcher
