General Statement of Duties

Under supervision, assists victims of crime by assessing their needs and obtaining services and information.  Reports to the Captain.

 

Minimum Qualifications

High school degree/GED; ability to successfully complete the prescribed courses of study at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy..  Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.  Must be able to maintain required level of proficiency in the use of firearms, and evasive action/driving skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Under limited supervision performs an assortment of duties necessary in administering first aid treatment and advanced life to patients and transporting sick/injured persons to appropriate medical facilities.  Operates vehicles, prepares reports, conducts general housekeeping activities, etc.  Exercises judgment in dealing with patients and in various situations.  Strives to ensure prompt response to emergency calls.  Works under stressful, high risk conditions.  Reports to Crew Chief/Paramedic and/or EMS Director.


 

Minimum Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED and Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification or qualify for reciprocity, with 2 years of EMS experience, or an equivalent combination of education training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Must hold required certifications including CPR, ITLS or PHTLS, ACLS, PALS or PEP and CEVO.  Must in good physical health.  Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Must hold required certifications including CPR. Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s license and be at least twenty-one years of age. Must also submit to pre-employment drug screening.

Correctional Officer

General Statement of Duties

Under general supervision performs a variety of activities pertaining to the County Jail in accordance with established policies, regulations and procedures. Performs those prescribed tasks such as guarding and directing inmates, patrolling assigned areas, escorting, preparing reports, inspecting property, preventing disturbances, supervising trustees, maintaining facilities, etc. Reports to immediate supervisor.
